Five years ago I started writing on a social media platform.
My goals were simple:
- Write five times per week.
- Respond to every comment.
- Follow everyone who interacted with me in any way.
I remember having a spreadsheet listing the names of people who commented on my articles.
I’d read any articles they published once per week and comment down below. When I did, I’d mark an “X” next to their name along with the date to keep track of my engagement.
Was this strategy a little weird?
Sure.
But for someone who had an ADHD brain like me, it was essential I took a more calculated approach to making sure I engaged with people.
